Director Simon Piper-Masha, a qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience, founded SPM Development Services in 2013 with the vision of providing alternative provision, tuition, homeschooling, and outreach services. His aim was to cater to the needs of children who require specialised support not available in mainstream school settings.
At SPM Development Services, Simon leads a team of experienced educators dedicated to supporting children with diverse needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Their collective expertise spans teaching, outreach, and mentoring, enabling them to deliver tailored educational programs that address the individual needs of each student. Simon’s passion lies in improving educational standards and making learning accessible to all. Under his leadership, SPM Development Services strives to bring learning “to life” across all subject areas, ensuring that every student can access and excel in the curriculum. Besides his administrative and leadership roles, Simon actively engages in tutoring across a broad range of subjects, provides mentoring to students, and fulfils the crucial role of Safeguarding Officer, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. |

Hayley Jupp holds a First-Class Honours degree in Fine Art and completed her Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) training while working as a secondary art teacher at the Harris Federation. With over fifteen years of experience in education, Hayley has taught a diverse range of subjects, including the core curriculum of maths, English, and science at Key Stages 3 and 4. She is experienced in planning and delivering GCSE, BTEC, and Functional Skills qualifications.
Previously, Hayley served as the Head of Key Stage 3 within a Pupil Referral Unit. In her current role at SPM Development Services, she is responsible for designing the curriculum, overseeing its implementation, and ensuring the verification, moderation, and quality assurance of qualifications. She also teaches various subjects and mentors students, providing support and sharing best practices with other tutors. Throughout her career, Hayley has collaborated with various stakeholders, including families, carers, local schools, social services, healthcare professionals, the police, and the youth offending service. Her ability to work effectively as part of a multi-agency team has led to successful referrals to other agencies, secured and delivered reintegration plans to mainstream provisions, and ensured the best outcomes and support for young people and their families. Always eager to expand her knowledge, Hayley has pursued further training as a Mental Health Champion with Place2Be and a Mental Health First Aider with MHFA. Additionally, she has recently trained as a teacher of mindfulness. |

Demet Guneser brings extensive experience in linguistics, teaching, and business to her role. She holds a joint degree in European Business Studies, a testament to her passion for combining language studies with business acumen.
Demet’s teaching journey spans across international and UK schools, where she has passionately taught English, French, and ESOL. Her commitment to education led her to hold leadership positions, including Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) and Summer School Coordinator. With a strong background in software engineering within the financial technologies sector, Chris is currently pursuing a master’s degree in mathematics from Kings College London. His academic background is complemented by extensive tutoring experience, which began at the age of 16. Over the past five years, Chris has provided private tutoring in mathematics and volunteered in UK schools as both a mathematics tutor and a swim instructor. Chris’s passion for education extends beyond borders. He dedicated 12 months to voluntary teaching in Ghana, West Africa, where he worked in three schools in the Volta region. Louise Green holds a BA honours degree in Humanities and a PGCE in Primary Education. She completed her QTS training at a large primary school in Bromley, where she taught for 12 years leading Music. Louise then went on to teach in Croydon where she took on the role of a specialist Maths Teacher, teaching across the whole school and training staff. Louise has 18 years of experience working with children in education, where she was consistently graded outstanding by OFSTED. For the last few years, she has focussed on tutoring maths and 11+ where she is able to help a whole range of children on a one-toone basis. She is also experienced in teaching Functional Skills Maths.
Louise is a positive and friendly teacher who is passionate about seeing all children access the curriculum. She strives to find ways to help all children overcome any barriers to learning, planning work around their interests. Angharad Callaghan holds a Bachelor of Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). With seven years of experience in Australia, she attained the position of Head of Maths and Science before relocating to the UK to pursue her passion for education and travel. Over the past 16 years, Angharad has worked in various comprehensive schools, obtaining her Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along the way.
In her most recent role as Second in Charge of Maths, Angharad was responsible for GCSE Maths and implemented additional programmes such as GCSE Statistics. Under her leadership, Maths grades consistently improved, and she collaborated with the Bowland Trust to develop problem-solving skills. Angharad is known for her passion and dedication to education, particularly in supporting young people with additional needs. Currently, she works with college students resitting their GCSE Maths and provides support to other KS3/GCSE students. Cleo Jay is an education professional with over 7 years of teaching experience at primary and secondary levels. Originally from France, she graduated with a BA in Philosophy with a Spanish minor from Paris-Nanterre University, and then completed a PhD in Post-colonial Studies from SOAS University in 2018.
She worked as an arts facilitator in primary schools for several years, and she joined the Researchers in Schools programme in 2016, where she participated in training as an MFL secondary school teacher, completed her QTS in 2017, and taught workshops to promote university access and research skills to pupils. While her strengths are in French and Spanish, she is very passionate about teaching languages generally and organised Arabic and Latin groups for students. She also enjoys working on Academic English skills with students and helping them structure their thoughts and write excellent essays. Cleo continues her own research in her spare time and regularly takes part in conferences and publications related to North African culture. Recently, she contributed a chapter to an anthology on African Theatre. |

Billy Hammond holds a BA Honours degree in Economics and a PGCE in Business Studies. With over 31 years of experience, he has been a teacher of Economics and Business Studies since 1993.
Originally from Ghana, Billy completed his KS4 and KS5 education before attending Leicester University to study Economics. Throughout his career, Billy has taught Business Studies from KS3 to KS5, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the Economics and Business Studies subject area. He served as Head of Business Studies at Hayes Manor for 5 years and as Head of Faculty at Tamworth Manor School for another 5 years, overseeing the Business Studies and Technology departments. Billy has always had a passion for teaching Economics and Business Subjects, and his enthusiasm and passion make it easier for his students to enjoy accessing the curriculum. Known for his friendly and positive approach, Billy is always available when his students need him. |
Ravin Anenden | Ravin is a professional who is committed to helping young people achieve their career objectives. He has over 12 years’ experience of working with 16–24-year-olds who are furthest away from the job market. Ravin understands that finding the right job can have a huge impact on a person’s confidence, health and ability to lead fulfilling, independent lives. He can quickly understand the needs of people and have a track record of helping them to secure their desired outcome as quickly as possible. He has the passion and drive it takes to help unemployed people into employment by providing them with bespoke one-to-one advice, guidance or coaching.
Ravin works with SPM Development Services as well as the Multi-Billion Multinational Construction Group Kier as the Senior Employment and Skills Co-ordinator. Previously he was the Head of the World of Work Team at Croydon College, responsible for sourcing work experience opportunities for Croydon College students, aligning this work experience with their programme of study. He was also the Head of National Job Broking at the Hyde Housing Association, one of the largest Housing Associations where he worked with both local and national employers, universities and colleges to establish relationships that my clients benefited from. Through his work he has gained a strong understanding of the recruitment market. In addition to this he has learnt how to provide young people with experience of a modern workplace and now know how to further develop their employability and social skills.

Mrs Nikuru Aderanti is an Educationist. She has taught in several secondary schools and sixth form colleges. She has a successful track record of directing a positive change in the attainment of students in inner London secondary schools.
Most recently armed with consistently outstanding grading by OFSTED, she hascontinued to provide science learning to disenfranchised students both in the formal school environment and in a homeschooling and one to one send provision settings. Also, she focuses on the Gifted and Talented provision for inner London students. She has a passion for teaching science through bringing learning alive with a focus on increasing the number of students who can articulate their learning, apply concepts learnt to decisions and interactions in their daily lives and embrace change in their learning which has been a major cause for concern within the education sector. She has extensive experience in science teaching and learning, liaising with external organisations to promote student opportunities particularly with work placements and apprenticeships. Sarah Pell has over 15 years teaching experience. However, the majority of Sarah’s teaching experience has been working in Secondary education as well as teaching in the post compulsory sector. She is very much used to working with young adults who may be disaffected and typically who are less academic.
Most recently she has considerable experience in Public Protection Unit safeguarding where Sarah received significant training in Safeguarding both for children and adults and understands fully the red flags to observe for. She has a strong understanding of legal aspects of behaviour management. She has post-graduate qualifications in Teaching, Learning and Assessment in Educational Leadership and Management with the OU, in addition to her PGCE. She regularly designs differentiated schemes of work and assesses formatively and summarily students’ progress against predictors and offering feedback and support to students. She produces statistical analysis for OFSTED purposes and tracking on students’ progress. |

Archie is a professional boxing, and martial arts coach with 40 years of national, and international experience. This has been earnestly built by virtue of nurturing, and mentoring both amateur, and professional athletes throughout their careers.
He believes that boxing and martial arts are perfect for kids especially, as they teach, and engrain within them five of the most essential ingredients thatone must have in-order to be successful in life — reasoning, problem solving, grit, determination, and communicative skills.
